Happy Thanksgiving Healthy Darlings!!! Today you are hopefully nuzzled up with friends and family to give thanks for all the many blessings in your life. You are also (hopefully) gearing up for a feast! You may have heard of Tryptophan, an essential amino acid that’s famous in turkey for making us sleepy (but really it’s in all poultry).
High Tryptophan foods:
- Help regulate your appetite
- Help you sleep better
- Elevate your mood (source)
However, according to this article in WebMd, turkey meat can’t take all the credit: it needs foods high in carbohydrates to help deliver the message to the brain. So go ahead an enjoy those mashed potatoes too for a cozy night of hard earned sleep!
On this day of giving thanks I want to Thank YOU for reading and sharing my blogs. Your support of the Darling sites and prayers throughout my brain surgery have meant more to me than I can ever express. I am indebted to all of You, my Darling readers. XOXOXO
Have a great surgery. I will bring you brownies afterwards!
I relish, lead to I discovered exactly what I was having a look for. You have ended my four day lengthy hunt! God Bless you man. Have a great day. Bye
Great article! I’m a high sohcol graduate, not a college graduate like the article mentions several times, but I still found this to be extremely helpful. I’m making my way into the tech field through a series of internships with some tech companies. I already had an idea of what to expect, how I should behave, and the type of things I might have to do as an intern, but this article has definitely solidified a lot of the thoughts I was unsure about. One of the biggest things I took away from this was the bonus tip. Right now I have a day job that I’m not too happy with. I want to get out as soon as possible, this second if I could, but the bonus tip has really reassured me that having that job for now is a vital step in the right direction. I will definitely take these tips and advice with me into the internships I hope to land!
