Awe, election day. While this is the last time you’ll see me shouting “Yes on 37!” I assure you, it’s not the last time you’ll see or hear about GMOs. How wonderful- even if Prop 37 doesn’t win on the ballot today, it has won by starting the discussion. What are GMOs? What are the health risks? How did genetically engineered food land on our shelves without us knowing? How did the FDA approve genetically engineered foods without any long term studies? So many questions and so many unsatisfying answers… No matter what happens at the polls today, keep the discussion alive. We are Americans and should never be kept in the dark, especially about something as intimate and essential as the food we put into our bodies.
I am so proud to be an American and I deeply appreciate my right to vote to make this country a better place. I really hope that my California readers join me today in voting YES on Prop 37 and that everyone shares this information, even after the election.

Compliments Ashley for your initiative and erotffs in this important cause. The green revolution that appeared so promising decades ago has taken many people towards poor nutrition and health while profitting several multinational agribusiness corporations.Sadly, the economics and lack of awareness have resulted in many Americans buying & consuming foods detrimental to health, rather than buying organics which are healthier and produced in methods gentler on the planet. It’s encouraging that many organics are becoming more affordable for more people. Also, many people are cutting back on other expenditures to afford organics and are leaning towards diets less meat based.Best wishes for successful event at FNCE.I’m retired so won’t attend, but I care greatly.
Have a great surgery. I will bring you brownies afterwards!
