Hi everyone! Welcome to my first post as the Healthy Darling. Since Robyn O’brien’s TED Talks video on GMOs was the pivotal moment that transitioned me into the Healthy Darling, I thought it appropriate to share this video with you.
In short, GMOs, or Genetically Modified Organisms, are:
Plants or animals that have had their genetic makeup altered to exhibit traits that are not naturally theirs.
-From the glossary on the Monsanto website.
No studies have been conducted to prove the safety of Genetically Modified Foods, yet they have been permeating our food supply since the mid-to-late 1990s. Since this time, there has been an alarming allergy epidemic as well as a staggering surge in obesity, diabetes, and even autism rates. In her book, The Unhealthy Truth, Robyin O’brien compellingly links this decline in our nations’ health to the “FrankenFoods” that we are now eating.
In the November election, California residents have the opportunity to vote Yes on Prop 37, a ballot initiative that would require foods with GMOs to be labeled as such. This labeling would be of no cost to tax payers as food brands need to update their labels every 6-8 months and would have ample time to make the adjustment. If you would like to know if you’re food has GMOs, then please join me in voting Yes on Prop 37 and share this information!

Has anyone tried the raw diet?Essentially, the raw diet costinss of entirely uncooked, raw vegetable based meals. It is supposedly the healthiest way to construct a diet. It may also be an easy way to sidestep some of these developing issues with farming and steroid/ chemical use (so long as you find organic vegetables)
Good day! Would you mind if I share your blog with my myspace group? There’s a lot of people that I think would really appreciate your content. Please let me know. Many thanks|
